“What would you like to see at Ruakaka Beach Holiday Park?”
The Ruakaka Reserve Board which manages the Ruakaka Reserve is developing a Management Plan which will set out how the Holiday Park will be managed for the next 10 years.
We need your help to understand what the community values in this local reserve and how you would like to use and enjoy it in the future so that we can consider your views as we draft the plan.
The Ruakaka Reserve currently features – camping sites, playground, tennis court, barbeque area, jetty, toilet, shower and kitchen blocks, basic cabins and the Clapham Hall.
The Management Plan will consider:
- The use and purpose of the land
- Protecting the natural environment
- Improvements to serve the needs and enjoyment of the campers and the wider community
You can see the “Camp Map” HERE for a detailed layout of this area
Throughout the process, we will be working closely with:
- the community
- Local iwi
- Volunteer groups
- Department of Conservation
- Local Council Departments
This just the first opportunity for you to have your say. Once we have drafted the plan there will be a more formal opportunity for you to make a submission.
